What does the job entail?

• This is a very hands-on role. You will do much of the work, while also directing a small team to help execute your IT strategy. 
• Develop and document IT processes and best practices.
• Developing an employee-centric, growth mindset culture on your team so the entire team can execute at a very high level
• Coordinate with stakeholders on the implementation of security policies and manage the overall security strategy for the company’s growth. 
• Design and Implement zero-trust architecture across all our key systems
• Manage systems and processes for onboarding/offboarding employees
• Manage the provisioning, tracking, and support of all hardware deployed to Allbirds employees, global Corporate Offices, and to our global Retail Store locations
• Help our global workforce with technology issues through our help desk system
• Create an annual operating and capital budget in partnership with the Finance team
• Manage contracts, relationships, and negotiations with third-party vendors for our various IT systems
• Manage many company-wide systems (ex, Google Suite, Okta)
• Work with cross-functional partners (e.g. HR) to find efficiencies and execute improvements to our internal systems
• Maintains, tests and documents any technology-based systems and processes required to support the Company’s SEC SOX reporting requirements subject to review by auditors

More practical skills needed: 

• BS/BA degree in Computer Science, Business Information Systems, or another related field, and 7 years of hands-on IT experience
• Strong experience with cloud security practices and Zero Trust architecture
• Experience with end-user customer support, including strong technical knowledge of Mac OS X, Windows, Chromebooks, and mobile devices.
• Extensive and hands-on expertise in:
• Identity management, e.g., Okta
• SAAS applications, e.g., Google Suite, Zoom, Slack, etc. 
• IT management applications: e.g. Kandji, Meraki
• Cloud computing: e.g., AWS, Google Cloud

What do we offer?

In Office: The pay range for this role is: $142k - $155k and must be performed in our San Francisco, CA office. We have a hybrid work culture where we are In Office Tues-Thurs and remote Mon and Fri.

Allbirds routinely evaluates pay rates, and the ranges are subject to change based on market rates and other considerations. We factor in a number of components when determining starting pay, including the job and level you are hired into, location, skillset, experience and peer compensation.
