About the team and role:
Advertising is one of the fastest growing areas in client which in some ways, will define the future of client. Digital advertising as an industry is growing rapidly, and the landscape is shifting as ecommerce advertisers are finding better value with ecommerce companies like client. As they shift budget from the duopoly of google and facebook, it creates a huge opportunity for client. Advertising is also amplifying client's ecommerce by providing a tool for our sellers to move inventory and for buyers, by surfacing high quality items.
We are looking to hire a Business Analyst to partner closely with the client Advertising product team. As part of this role, you will be responsible for building and maintaining efficient and scalable reporting tools for multiple stakeholders and educating and encouraging use of self-serve tools. You will also conduct specific performance deep dives on relevant topics while leveraging one of the world's largest datasets.
We are looking for an individual with a strong motivation to learn about the Ads business and continuously learn, grow and challenge the status quo in a global fast paced environment. The ideal candidate will possess outstanding analytical skills, strong business acumen and polished communication skills.
Qualifications:
4 years' of experience in a similar or relevant role
Excellent analytical thinking, technical analysis, and data manipulation skills
Strong technical skills to turn big data into concrete insights with hands-on ability in using SQL, R, Python, Tableau, etc.
Outstanding Excel and PowerPoint skills.
Attention to accuracy and detail
Ability to work with people at all levels and across varying functions.
Ability to communicate sophisticated analysis in a precise and meaningful manner with both technical, and non-technical customers.
Academic background in a quantitative field (e.g., mathematics, engineering, statistics, economics, business).
Prior experience in advertising or e-commerce a plus
