Most Asanas have the option to work from home on Wednesdays. Working from home on Fridays depends on the type of work you do and the teams with which you partner. If you're interviewing for this role, your recruiter will share more about the in-office requirements.

What you’ll achieve

  • Work with a wide range of finance and technical stakeholders to identify use cases and gather requirements for analysis, reporting, and automation.
  • Design, develop, and manage data products that provide actionable insights to internal stakeholders and support strategic decision-making.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and visualizations to communicate key performance metrics and insights to stakeholders.
  • Actively contribute to the design and development of the company’s core data warehouse.
  • Build and maintain user friendly documentation for data models, metrics, and reporting.
  • Assist with the development, testing, and debugging of BI Solutions/applications/systems.
  • Work with data engineers and BI developers to support, monitor, document, and troubleshoot our BI environments.
  • Be a critical part of the Tableau Center of Excellence team and drive new ideas and best practices across the Asana data community.

About you

  • Strong analytical skills and strategic mindset with a passion for translating complex data into actionable insights and recommendations to drive business strategy and decision-making.
  • Experience in financial reporting and record-to-report processes preferred.
  • Proficiency in SQL and rich experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
  • Experience with MPP databases such as Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery, or other relevant technologies.
  • Knowledge of Data Warehousing, Data Marts, and reporting objects such as facts, dimensions, relationships, hierarchies, and calculations
  • Strong project management skills with proven ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and drive projects to completion in a high-pressure, constantly changing environment.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels.
  • An impulse for taking ownership and introducing structure and simplicity when faced with vague, complex problems.

At Asana, we're committed to building teams that include a variety of backgrounds, perspectives, and skills, as this is critical to helping us achieve our mission. If you're interested in this role and don't meet every listed requirement, we still encourage you to apply.
