Integration Innovation is Hiring a Director of Information Technology Near Huntsville, AL

Overview

i3 is seeking a Director of Information Technology who will lead and direct the company's corporate information technology (IT) operations, ensuring the department provides efficient and effective technical support services across the business. This includes device management, server maintenance (on-prem & cloud), internal application development for automation, IT policy creation, cybersecurity, and a five-year IT strategy. This position will report to the Chief Administrative Officer and will be located at the i3 Corporate Office in Huntsville, AL.

Responsibilities

  • Provides strategic leadership, guidance, and support of all information technology functions of the organization and ensures departmental goals are successfully achieved.
  • Responsible for the IT strategic planning and IT operations by implementing cost control measures and meeting budget goals.
  • Collaborates with i3 executives and has the lead role in defining the strategy and vision of the organization’s information technology systems in support of business goals and objectives.
  • Oversees the day-to-day operations of the department to ensure infrastructure, network, hardware, and software support needs are met.
  • Leads development and implementation processes for the organization's IT systems and department.
  • Develops and implements business continuity protocols to minimize disruption to business operations in the event of emergency situations or data loss.
  • Establishes efficiency standards, providing recommendations for improvement of IT infrastructure.
  • Analyzes IT infrastructure and systems performance to assess operating costs, productivity levels, upgrade requirements, and other metrics and needs.
  • Oversees cybersecurity of systems, networks, and enterprise information by ensuring compliance with CMMC and NIST 800-171 standards.
  • Facilitates IT security audits and/or investigations.
  • Develops and maintains relationships with external IT vendors and service providers.
  • Up to 10% travel. 

Qualifications

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Thorough understanding of IT and practical applications to support the company's goals.
  • Proficient in the latest technology for IT systems and management.
  • Proficient in Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 or related software.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent analytical and management skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in related field required; master's degree or MBA preferred.
  • Prior experience as a Director of IT or similar role preferred.
  • Current ITIL and/or PMP certifications preferred.
  • At least ten years of experience managing an IT department of similar size.
  • Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance.
  • US Citizenship is required.
