Overview

i3 is seeking a Junior Windows Systems Administrator to support an Army Contract. The Systems Administrator will provide technical expertise supporting information system components, infrastructure integration and maintenance to satisfy architectural and business requirements in support of MDA customer labs. The Junior Windows Systems Administrator must have a customer centric approach and provide all levels of support for the user base community. Candidates for this position must possess, at a minimum, a United States SECRET level security clearance. This position is located in Huntsville, AL. 

Responsibilities

• Provide direct customer service and technical support to local and remote users as required via phone, e-mail, on-line systems and in person.
• Perform implementation of system additions and/or enhancements and makes recommendations to management.
• Experience with Windows Operating System, specifically, Windows 10.
• Experience with Windows System patching, 3rd party patching and software deployment utilizing tools such as WSUS and Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM).
• Ability to apply customized Windows images to various system within a mixed environment.
• Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware and creating Server and Desktop VMs.
• Assist in maintaining system documentation such as SOPs and policies.
• Understanding of Information Assurance (IA) systems and practices such as DISA STIGs, RMF and system hardening.
• Travel to remote sites up to 3-4 times a year for scanning and quality assurance check-in.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience. Degree may be substituted with additional years of experience.
• Ability to work with little or no direct supervision and in a team environment.
• Must have Excellent Customer Service Skills.
• Strong Systems Administration principles and troubleshooting experience.
• Strong Information Technology (IT) principles and troubleshooting experience.
• Working knowledge of Information Assurance (IA) practices/procedures (DISA STIGs, RMF, HBSS).
• Must have DoD 8570 IA Certification (Security CE).
• Secret Security clearance or higher.
• U.S. Citizenship is required.
