Description

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Construction Project Scheduler with a proven track record in ground-up development to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and updating project schedules to ensure timely and efficient completion of construction projects, with a specific focus on ground-up development initiatives. The Construction Project Scheduler will collaborate with project managers, contractors, and other stakeholders to create realistic timelines, identify potential risks, and implement schedule adjustments as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

Schedule Development:

  • Collaborate with project managers to create comprehensive project schedules, considering all project phases and activities.
  • Utilize project management software and tools to develop Gantt charts, timelines, and critical path analyses.

Resource Allocation:

  • Work closely with project teams to identify and allocate necessary resources for each project phase.
  • Ensure that labor, equipment, and materials are adequately scheduled to meet project milestones.

Progress Monitoring:

  • Regularly update project schedules to reflect actual progress and milestones achieved.
  • Monitor and report on project timelines, identifying any potential delays or issues.

Risk Management:

  • Identify and assess potential risks to project schedules.
  • Propose mitigation strategies and work with the project team to implement adjustments to the schedule as needed.

Communication:

  • Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and other stakeholders to communicate schedule updates and changes effectively.
  • Provide timely and accurate information regarding project timelines to support decision-making.

Documentation:

  • Maintain detailed records of project schedules, adjustments, and changes.
  • Generate reports and presentations to communicate schedule status to stakeholders.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Evaluate and improve scheduling processes to enhance overall project efficiency.
  • Stay updated on industry best practices and incorporate advancements into scheduling methodologies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Construction Project Scheduler, preferably in the construction industry.
  • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Primavera P6).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of construction processes, terminology, and industry standards.

Preferred Skills:

  • Certification in project management (e.g., EIT, CCM, TXDOT, AASHTO, PMP, LEED, ICC, ACI or CMIT
  • Familiarity with Building Information Modeling (BIM) software.
  • Experience with Lean construction principles.
