Integrated Preschool is Hiring a PreK Special Education Paraprofessional - LTS Near Randolph, MA

The Long-Term Substitute PreK paraprofessional will work with the classroom teacher to support students in our integrated PreK program. The paraprofessional will provide hands-on support as directed by the classroom teacher. The paraprofessional will assist with students’ basic academic and communication functions and will administer some basic life skills, including but not limited to changing, toileting, and feeding. Knowledge and training in de-escalation strategies are preferred.ESSENTIAL DUTIES:• Actively participate in the educational program and help in classroom management, lesson planning, and recording of student data, as requested.• Facilitate students' travel from classroom activities and appointments by giving specific directions and monitoring independent travel.• Participate in staff and /or unit meetings as appropriate.• Monitor all activities to ensure the safety and well-being of students and inform the teacher of any problems, conflicts, and/or issues.• Lifting is often required due to the needs of the students in the program.• Work cooperatively with administrative and nursing staff to ensure that program activities are conducted in a safe and professional manner.• Actively participate in program and professional development activities in accordance with state and federal laws and regulations.• Work with students to implement program goals and objectives.• Maintain professional standards and practices.Experience working with children in a diverse, multi-cultural academic setting.Terms: LTS from 2/12/24 through approximately 4/29/24Salary: depends on relevant experience, degree level, subject, certification, and other relevant skills.
