Press Operator
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Operation of presses assigned by the production schedule or Molding Foreman
· Loading and unloading of material and product from the tool
· Understand (English or Spanish) and follow the router instructions and sign off
· Maintain production rates and efficiencies consistent with the company goals and requirements
· Visual In-process inspection to verify product and sign off
· Maintain proper part identification and traceability
· Suggest process and manufacturing improvements when and if insufficiencies exist on Opportunity For Improvements (OFI) Forms
· Maintain good housekeeping and safety practices as outlined in the Employee Handbook or directed by the Molding Foreman
· Other duties as assigned by supervisor
· Conduct monthly expired material audit. (If identified)
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
· High School Graduate Preferable
· 2 years working as an operator in a molded manufacturing oriented environment
· Able to communicate in English or Spanish with supervisor
OTHER SUBJECTIVE CRITERIA:
· Attention to detail
· Working knowledge of different presses, safety equipment and applicable tools
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
· Able to lift 70 lbs
TRAINING REQUIREMENTS:
· On the job training will be conducted on Procedures and Work Instructions from the area of responsibility.
· Yearly refresher training on FOD, Calibration, Documentation control and Safety Topics.
