IPS - Rubbercraft is seeking a Maintenance Technician who will perform maintenance and repairs on a variety of machines and equipment including preventative maintenance tasks. Operate mechanical, precision, and electrical tools with proficiency to properly complete repairs and modifications to machinery. Maintain and repair hydraulic presses, (specifically Panstone, Maplan, PHI, Fenco and Desma models), and other equipment such as Haas CNC, Royal Extruders and Dispatch industrial ovens, assembly & test fixtures, physical building structures, electrical wiring, and plumbing.

Job Responsibilities:

• Lubrication/cleaning of machines
• Troubleshoot machine down time and make suggestions for improvement.
• Research / identify information for parts, place purchase orders and handle invoices.
• Problem solve issues and suggest improvements, take action to close.
• Communicate effectively with co-workers and supervisors.
• Coordinate with external maintenance/repair contractors or OEM service as necessary.

Qualifications

Job Specifications:

Years Experience: Minimum 3 years’ experience in a machining maintenance role, aerospace/rubber experience preferred

Education: Accredited high school diploma or GED program required.

Skills: 

• Maintenance / Mechanical certifications preferred.
• Basic shop math.
• Experienced troubleshooting hydraulic presses and industrial ovens including blueprint/diagram reading (Mechanical, Electrical, Hydraulic, and Pneumatic).
• Knowledge of the operation / use of maintenance hand tools and machines including but not limited to: drill press, welders, lathe, saw, electrical multi-meter, precision micrometers, and calipers, etc
• Strong mechanical knowledge of production machinery including hydraulic presses and extrusion
• Basic use of MIG, gas, stick welders in fabrication and repairs.
• Basic carpentry and plumbing.
• Basic operation of production machines.
• Certified fork-lift driver – prior experience or certification.
• Ability to read, write and speak English
• Team oriented.
• Ability to work independently and take direction from supervisor or lead person.
• Ability to multi-task.
• Demonstrated personal continuous improvement..
• Must be comfortable standing for long periods of time 
• This position requires moving moderate weight (up to 50 lbs.) by bending, stooping or reaching on a daily basis.

Training Requirements:

• On the job training will be conducted on Procedures and Work Instructions from the area of responsibility.
• Yearly refresher training on FOD, Calibration, Documentation control and Safety Topics.

2nd Shift: M-F 3PM - 11 PM (Additional $1.50 per hour on top of base rate for 2nd Shift)
