Phone/Walk-in service; Order fulfillment; Inventory management

Be part of a three person team responding to inquiries and requests, especially from acupuncturists and their patients. Write down requests, fulfill (package), bill, ship or hand over items, maintain office inventory. Computer skills very helpful for additional tasks.

This position requires:

• Excellent customer service and empathetic communication skills
• Ability to multitask and prioritize work
• Learn item names and locations for easy reference and response
• Being detail oriented with strong attention to accurate work

The job also provides for potential computer-based inventory tracking, online article posting, and other tasks with appropriate computer skills and organizational capabilities.

ITM is a non-profit organization that operates two clinics in Portland and provides herbal formulations to practitioners everywhere, used for prescription to their patients. The herb office is staffed by three employees, and involves about 200 ITM-devised herb formulas other Chinese medicine related items. The primary use of these materials is outside of Portland, with shipments by UPS and USPS; practitioners in Portland and their patients may come directly to the ITM office.

Job Type: Full time; 30 hours/week schedule or more, depending on skills and availability of employee (for example, additional fill-in hours available to cover for absent employees).

Work days: Monday-Friday

Pay: $20.00/hour to start, increases thereafter and also depending on tasks undertaken.
