InstiTech is Hiring a Maintenance millwright Near Butler, WI

Job Description

Stable and successful manufacturing company is looking to hire a Plant Millwright / Maintenance Tech for first shift hour with most weekends off and no travel requirements.

This is a direct hire, salaried position in the $95 to $113K range with annual performance review bonus, and a company sponsored profit sharing plan that contributes up to 5% of salary annually! Candidates must have a minimum of four years of heavy industrial repair : Specifically working with troubleshooting and repairing screw conveyers, bearings, and gearbox installation.

Duties of the Plant Millwright :

  • Completing preventative, predictive, and reactive industrial maintenance throughout the 27,000 square foot facility
  • Utilize maintenance trades and components as required in the plant for the :
  • Install, maintain, test, evaluate, and repair various mechanical components and systems
  • Observe mechanical devices in operation and listen to their sounds to locate causes of trouble.
  • Dismantle devices to gain access to and remove defective parts.
  • Examine form and texture of parts to detect imperfections
  • Start devices to test their performance.
  • Operate standard maintenance tools such as power tools, electric tools, precision maintenance tools, preventative maintenance technology tools, etc.
  • Document completed work and the conditions found, implementing and utilizing maintenance computer software as necessary
  • Interact regularly with external vendors, peers, and management to pursue continuous improvement of facility operations and promote a teamwork focused environment
  • Operate / Troubleshooting mobile equipment such as forklifts, loaders, yard truck
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment
  • Initiate purchase orders for parts and machines.
  • Interpret work instructions, formulate plans, and express ideas and concerns effectively to co-workers, and supervisors
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Maintain an on the shelf inventory of key components to minimize downtime

Requirements

Requirements of the Plant Millwright

  • Minimum of 4 years of millwork history showing advance understanding of machines and their systems to include but not limited to pneumatic (including air compressors), hydraulic, bearings, and screw conveying equipment
  • Welding experience and proper certification
  • Have knowledge of single and three phase electrical systems. (Helpful)
  • Safely operate tools and equipment needed during the repair and servicing of equipment / fabricate parts.
  • Tools provided but applicants are encouraged to utilize some of their tools to perform routine maintenance and repairs of equipment.
  • A valid driver's license
  • Basic computer skills
  • Associates Degree a plus but not required
  • Ability to problem solve, troubleshoot, then repair all mechanical issues with equipment
