Management Leadership for Tomorrow (MLT) is seeking an entrepreneurial professional to join our Program Recruitment & Admissions team. MLT prepares men and women of color to secure high trajectory post-college jobs that deliver economic mobility for their Management Leadership for Tomorrow (MLT) is seeking entrepreneurial professionals to join our Program Recruitment & Admissions team. MLT prepares men and women of color to secure high trajectory post-college jobs that deliver economic mobility for their families, and then provides the social capital they need to become high-impact senior leaders who can transform our institutions and vulnerable communities. Spanning college through mid-career, MLT’s programs have driven breakthrough results for more than 8,000 underrepresented minorities and 130 partner organizations including leading corporations, social-sector organizations and universities.
As MLT enters a period of unprecedented growth, our Diversity Recruiting Manager Manager will play a crucial role in helping MLT expand our Fellow class into the thousands. Reporting to the Director, Career Prep (CP) Fellow Recruitment, these relationship management roles interact with a dedicated portfolio of schools and community organizations in the San Francisco Bay Area. The Manager will leverage new and pre-existing relationships with colleges, universities, high schools, and community organizations to build out a robust pipeline of high-achieving college students. As the top of the recruitment funnel expands, the Manager will also assist other team members to help candidates move through the funnel from admission through acceptance into Career Prep.
A remote work arrangement in the San Francisco Bay Area is preferred.

Success for the Diversity Recruiting Manager will be defined along the following data points:

  • Applications received from targeted schools and organizations
  • Within the aforementioned number, the number of candidates who address the needs of strategic initiatives 
  • Aggregate number of schools and organizations where MLT increased representation or penetration

Key Responsibilities

  • Successfully establish and build community partnerships with MLT’s target group of schools and organizations
  • Work with existing schools and organizations to nominate qualified candidates to the Career Prep Program during MLT’s standard admissions timeline
  • Tailor and communicate MLT’s value proposition to different audiences
  • Conduct research, gather data, and document to reflect opportunities, best practices, insights, and learnings which will inform the continued growth of the program.
  • Assist with other program-related activities, as these will inform and evolve how the manager views their role in the organization

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Previous experience building relationships with academic institutions and / or business development experience
  • Exceptional communications skills with the ability to be persuasive and know how to close a deal
  • Exceptional ability to tailor communications to different audiences in order to achieve the desired results
  • Laser-focused in approach to project management and completing tasks
  • Experience or proven ability to manage relationships and achieve results through external stakeholders
  • Savvy to best practices and trends in social media and brand advertising
  • Salesforce, Asana, and Hubspot experience is a plus 
  • Knowledge of professional career opportunities in business and technology and awareness of corresponding initiatives in higher education and the social sector
  • Passionate about developing diverse talent, and ideally will have experience with and insight into the communities we serve
