Human Resources Business Partner

Function as a primary thought partner for assigned client groups, providing human capital consultation and guidance in accordance with Inspire Brands’ “People First” business strategy. Partners with restaurant operations. A clever, business-focused collaborator strategically and tactically implementing all Human Resources functions, including Organizational Effectiveness and Talent Development. The ideal candidate will focus heavily on supporting business strategy and providing essential resources that secure Inspire Brands’ anchor as the best place to work for dynamic, innovative mavericks. This position works with management to support and promote the company’s mission, values, and culture. 

This position sits within our Field HR team and supports restaurant/bar team members and leadership with a significant amount of time in the field visiting multiple locations.

 Responsibilities

  • Qualitatively resolve complex employee relations matters with urgency and integrity.
  • Support HR Director level leadership and/or assigned department leaders, providing guidance and support with department people objectives in areas including but not limited to workforce management, compensation planning, recruiting processes, engagement, performance management, organizational and talent development, and general HR inquiries.
  • Demonstrate strong influencing skills with department leaders, including judgment, tact, and deep organizational knowledge.
  • Champion Inspire Brands’ people-focused initiatives while providing active insight for future programs.
  • Serve as the single HR point of contact and consultant for assigned client regions, divisions, and/or teams.
  • Conduct regular team visits to assess employee engagement and development, leader effectiveness, health and safety protocols, and overall compliance.
  • Spends at least 60% of the time in the field supporting operations, including traveling to locations within your assigned responsibility scope based on business needs and leadership approval.
  • Coach and advise operations management on issues related to hiring, team member and leadership performance, career and personal development, employee escalations, terminations, etc.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with business partners on HR updates that affect policies, procedures, training, and communications and ensure that operations management is apprised of any changes.
  • Leverage HR and operational analytics to identify root cause issues and provide guidance for improvement.
  • Participate in developing and/or facilitating training (as appropriate) on various employee relations topics, including labor laws, performance management, development, people processes, and systems.
  • Serve as an employee relations expert: investigating, providing guidance, and consulting Operations leaders on employee concerns and performance management; participate in high-level and some minimum impact employee escalation investigations.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Thorough knowledge of all HR functions and general best practices, including labor relations legislation.
  • Proven innovation and diversity of thought in achieving Company human capital goals and objectives.
  • Ability to exceed expectations in a fast-paced, results-driven environment with significant ongoing change.
  • Exceptional listening and communication skills (oral and written).
  • Ability to positively leverage inter-department relationships and expertise to meet the needs of client groups effectively.
  • Objectively modulate from team member to leadership when providing counsel, consultation, influence, and support to a diverse audience.
  • Must routinely demonstrate high integrity, compassion, and confidentiality.
  • Brilliant interpersonal skills coupled with strong team orientation and attention to detail.
  • Well-organized, self-managed, and a self-starter.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Microsoft Office proficient.
