SUMMARY/POSITION OVERVIEW
This individual will work closely with the Program Scheduling Manager as a super-user of the SIMS Network Programming software system to ensure the accurate scheduling of programming on their respective network. Responsible for inputting critical details of entertainment and long form ministry contracts and be accountable for preparing discrete segments of the programming schedule.
PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Develops program schedules for high profile and/or strategically important dayparts.
Enters all title contract details in SIMS to assure that content broadcasts are in sync with contract agreements.
Coordinates all necessary entertainment scheduling info with Traffic.
Distributes approved program schedules
Summarizes data and available content to support decisions.
Determines methods and procedures on new assignments.
Assists with creating Air Calendars and dispenses information in an appropriate manner to all network departments and individuals who would need that information.
Assists with training individuals who need access to SIMS and to confirm processes.
Demonstrates clear expertise and in-depth working knowledge of all areas of this function and system.
Implements assigned duties independently with direction from management.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
At least 2 years experience as a network scheduler preferred
Full knowledge and skill set for the SIMS scheduling system or similar (Not required)
Sound, biblical Christian Faith
Excellent oral and written communications
Strong interpersonal, collaboration and teaming skills
Self-Motivated to follow through on assigned projects and elements thereof, with emphasis being placed on timely and thorough execution
Extremely detailed
Skilled in database management
Effective in time management and schedules
Accomplished in the use of personal computers and related software applications (such as Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and Access)
