As our Patient Services Representative, you are the first person on the team to take care of our patients by greeting our patients on the phone and in person as they seek treatment at our facility. Every day you will work with patients to set up and schedule their appointments in our electronic medical record system, work with insurance companies to ensure our patients care gets covered. To thrive in this job, you don't need any prior experience-just a desire to take care of people and attention to detail. Basic knowledge of healthcare terms is helpful, but not required. We will provide training! Outpatient Physical Therapy employs 85 employees across 8 clinics in South King County and Pierce County. Founded 40 years ago by Physical Therapists, Outpatient Physical Therapy is a leading provider of outpatient physical and occupational therapy to residents of our local communities.

On a typical day, you may experience:

* Answering patient, local physician office, and insurance company calls on a multi-phone line system

* Input patient demographic and insurance information in the EMR system

* Assist on-site patients by checking them in for their appointments, collecting co-pays or balances.

* Work with clinical staff on schedule management - scheduling patients at appropriate times, adjust schedule as needed, schedule patients for future appointments, select appropriate visit type

* Process record requests for patients, insurance companies, law firms and other organizations

* Communicate with insurance companies on authorizations and eligibilities

Hours: Monday - Thursday 1pm-6:30pm, Friday 12pm-5pm
