Front Office associates are responsible for the guest registration process and communication of hotel services and promotions. This highly visible role gives opportunity for casual conversation and has a direct impact on creating the guest experience. You'll be the face of Hyatt as a Front Office Associate. Responsibilities include:

    • Answer multi-line phones in a courteous, professional manner
    • Create new reservations either in person, via email or by telephone
    • Process all guest check-ins by confirming reservations, assigning room, and issuing and activating room key.
    • Coordinate with Housekeeping to track readiness of rooms for check-in.
    • Work with other staff members to ensure that all guest rooms meet their requests, hotel standards and accommodate any special client needs
    • Process all payment types such as room charges, cash, checks, debit, or credit.
    • Research and resolve disputed charges for guests.
    • Follow up with guest regarding satisfaction with guest-related issues.
    • Process all checkouts including resolving any late and disputed charges. Answer, record, and process all guest calls, messages, requests, questions, or concerns.
    • Run daily reports (number of arrivals, departures), identify any special requests, and check reports for accuracy
    • Review shift logs/daily memo books and document pertinent information in logbooks. Balance and drop receipts according to accounting specifications.
    • Assist management in training, motivating, and coaching employees; serve as a role model.
    • Follow all company policies and procedures; ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional; maintain confidentiality of proprietary information.

Wage Information:

The salary range for this position is $21.00 to $27.30. The starting hourly rate is $21.00. Decisions regarding individual salaries will be based on a number of factors, including experience, qualifications and education.

Qualifications

  • Previous customer service experience including cash & credit cards in a service provider industry; hospitality a plus
  • Friendly and outgoing with a good attitude and professionalism
  • Speak with others using clear and professional language; prepare and review written documents accurately and completely; answer telephones using appropriate etiquette.
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others.
  • Ability to multi-task, make solid business decisions with minimal supervision and work well under pressure
  • Computer knowledge using a windows environment
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time
  • Availability for days, nights, mid shifts, weekends and holidays preferred
