INNOVATIVE TURNAROUND CONTROLS is Hiring a Construction Manager (I&E) Near Philadelphia, PA

Construction Manager will support the following construction requirements in accordance with all applicable regulatory agencies, industry standards and Engineering Practices.Construction management for the relocation of the SCADA and controls presently connected to the existing MIPC Terminal Control Building & Warehouse to a newly constructed building on the west side of the site along G Street. See figure 2 for the approximate location for the new MIPC Terminal Control Building & Warehouse. The electrical service for the new terminal control building will be 208v, 3 phase; changed from the existing 480v, 3 phase:
3.2.1.1 Fiber connections from pipeline control building that include pipeline, tank gauging, and VRU
3.2.1.2 Connections from VRU that include vapor pressure and temperature. Present connection is via failing multipair wire that is to be upgraded to fiber.
3.2.1.3 Connections from electrical building that include UPS power and fiber TMS and truck rack control
3.2.1.4 Truck Rack lighting wiring
3.2.1.5 Connections from south gate area that include gate power and controls, oil/water separator, MOV power and controls. Modifications will be required to supply power to the present MOV installed
3.2.1.6 Connections from main gate that include gate RCU power and controls and gate operational controls.
3.2.2 Manage the construction of the new MIPC Terminal Control Building & Warehouse. The building is being constructed following a design approved by MIPC. See figure 2 for approximate building location on the site.
3.2.3 Manage Construction of a new terminal control building including the following:

MIPC G Street Land Swap Building Construction Management
3.2.3.1 Coordination of building permits with City of Philadelphia License and Inspection inspectors
3.2.3.2 Interior doors and trim
3.2.3.3 External trim including, doors, windows, and garage/workshop overhead door
3.2.3.4 Roofing
3.2.3.5 Flooring
3.2.3.6 Electrical service, 400 amp, 3 phase, 120/208 volt
3.2.3.7 Electrical wiring per NEC code including phone, network, WiFi, and fiber optics
3.2.3.8 Water supply and line to the street connection
3.2.3.9 HVAC
3.2.3.10 Interior plumbing and plumbing fixtures for restrooms
3.2.3.11 Sewer and line from building to the street connection
3.2.3.12 Interior lighting
3.2.3.13 Exterior lighting around the building
3.2.4 Manage the third party demolition of the concrete pad at truck turnaround.
3.2.5 Manage the third party cut in /expand new truck access; this will be accomplished by providing an extra 10’ at the current access gate and providing the “cut-in” of a wider access drive in front of the current controller building up to the driver turnaround.
3.2.6 Manage the installation of new fencing along new property line being installed by a third party.

  • Overseeing the entire construction project or part of a project
  • Scheduling and coordinating all types of design during the construction process
  • Selecting, hiring, and overseeing the work done by the contractors
  • Overseeing the construction workers and their immediate supervisors
  • Ensuring that the project is completed within a specified time
  • Determine the best source of construction materials
  • He is responsible for scheduling and estimating the time required to complete the project
  • Overseeing the selection of trade contractors and general contractors who are ideal for the completion of a project
  • Determining the labor requirements
  • Supervising or monitoring the hiring and firing of construction workers
  • Overseeing the performance of contractors
  • Ensuring that the construction work is completed on schedule
  • Monitoring and directing the progress in the construction site
  • Overseeing the delivery of materials, construction tools and equipment
  • Ensuring that the construction resources are used well
  • Ensuring that all safety precautions are adhered to by the construction workers
  • Obtaining the necessary licenses or permits
  • Monitoring the compliance with set regulations


Skills and specifications

  • Must be attentive to detail
  • Must know electrical and building codes
  • Possess good communication skills
  • Must have good coordination skills
  • Must have Instrumentation and Electrical experience

Experience:

  • 6-10 years’ experience
  • Engineering/ Construction/ Turnaround background
  • Direct field experience in a refinery/ petrochemical/ construction environment
  • Instrumentation and Electrical experience

Contract: October 2022 - January 2023 (Local ONLY, no perdiem offered)
