Innovative Driven is currently seeking an Associate Attorney with 3 to 8 years of experience in insurance coverage, including first-party and bad faith insurance coverage litigation, to join the team at one of the fastest-growing law firms in Atlanta!
The firm represents businesses of all types, both nationally and regionally. The prestigious insurance coverage practice team is nationally recognized, and is proud to represent clients in federal and state courts across the country!
This is an onsite position, in Atlanta. The firm will consider candidates looking to relocate who are eligible for GA Bar reciprocity.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Analyze coverage during claim investigations
- Draft coverage evaluations and recommendations and advise on complex coverage matters
- Collaborate with clients and provide advice to mitigate risks in coverage
- Draft pleadings, respond to and issue discovery, draft motions and supporting memoranda.
- Conduct legal research
- Take and defend depositions
- Defend first party insurance cases, primarily representing insurance companies
- Draft proposed provisions or suggested revisions to insurance policies
- Draft and revise insurance policy forms
- Negotiate settlements informally and at mediations and settlement conferences
- Draft appellate motions and briefs
REQUIREMENTS:
- Member of Georgia bar or eligible for Georgia bar membership
- Admission to federal district courts in Georgia required
- JD from accredited law school
- 3-8 years of insurance coverage experience, including experience with first-party and bad faith coverage matters
