SQL Server / PostgreSQL DBA - 2nd Shift, Remote

Innova Solutions has an immediate need for a SQL Server / PostgreSQL DBA :

• This job is remote and will operating out of CST / EST time zones
• The need for is for second shift, ideally 2pm-11pm, 3pm-12am CST
• This job is a contract hire role, candidates must be eligible for hire without sponsorship
• Candidate should have experience with SQL, PostgreSQL, AWS or Azure Cloud DBA experience
• Backup and restores process experience is required

Qualifications :

The ideal candidate will have migrated from SQL Server to PostgreSQL in the AWS cloud. Other migration experience might work, but you must have strong SQL Server and PostgreSQL DBA experience.

• Extensive Knowledge of SQL Server and SQL Server troubleshooting
• Very solid knowledge of PostgreSQL, including PostgreSQL
• Good understanding of Cloud based solutions and assisting teams to move the DB component of .NET applications to the cloud AND converting from SQL Server to Postgres
• AWS experience, including AWS RDS and AWS DMS
• Solid background of working with .Net application teams to properly design and support the database components of the application
• Ability to assist their support team with production issues as the arise. We have very few production issues that need night or weekend assistance, but in the case where we have a significant outage we may need to pull the DBA onto a bridge.

PAY RANGE AND BENEFITS :
