The Test and Verification Services team are responsible for the delivery of our Airline programmes.Viasat is currently going through significant growth and this role will evolve to reflect the changing business needs. The role may require the ability to travel.The day-to-dayExecution of System Integration acceptance test campaignsIdentify and raise defects, for escalation to the relevant parties and track the defects and the resulting remedial actions through to closureDeveloping, and improving, test procedures and test processesProduce concise technical and analysis reports from testing and effectively communicate results from testing activities to managementAttend meetings involving developers, sub-contractors and customersContribute to the development of test automation tools and scriptsDevelop flight test procedures and scripts and perform data analysis on test resultsQualificationsWhat you'll NeedBachelor's degree or technical diploma in a related technical field such as Computing Science or TelecommunicationsHave excellent knowledge of TCP/IP networking concepts (HTTP/DNS/DHCP/Network Routing)Extensive experience on Linux administration In depth knowledge of Scripting Languages (Python/Bash/Perl/etc.)Good technical writing skillsDiligently focus on and complete tasks with a sense of urgencyAble to identify and systematically analyze problems/issues/bugsAble to independently manage and prioritize their own tasksExperience using test management packages (JIRA)Excellent capacity at debugging complex systems, developing and implementing quick fixes as well as leading and delivering long term permanent solutions to problemsWhat Will Help You On The JobRHCSA certification or equivalent knowledge is a plusCommunicate effectively, with excellent spoken and written EnglishProduce clear, well-structured documentationWork well within a teamAble to work autonomously and have a good attention to detailAble to adapt and learn quicklySalary Range: $120,000 - $160,000Additional InformationYou must be eligible to work in this location advertised.EEO statementViasat is proud to be an equal opportunity employer, seeking to create a welcoming and diverse environment.
