The Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Manager will be responsible for continuous improvement in the environmental, health, and safety culture at the North Kansas City site. This will be done by improving the levels of safety awareness, regulatory compliance, and security through the leadership of strong involvement, heighten awareness, accountability, and best practices. Core Responsibilities: Lead the site EHS process. Ensure Regulatory and Ingredion compliance with all applicable standards, procedures and best working practices including OSHA, NFPA, EPA, Missouri DNR and Site Security. Understand the working of Missouri Workers Compensation laws. Leadership in Incident and Injury investigations. Manage site environmental compliance with Title V and NPDES permits. Accomplish a successful First Aid Responder and Hazmat team at the site. Develop and implement site safety improvement plans to ensure progress towards continuous improvement and overall company goals. Lead the site in change from output to input measures. Ability to deal with ambiguity. Understand the need to build trust and confidence on all levels within the organization. Ability to effect change through persuasion and good communication. Work within a union environment to ensure employee engagement in the EHS realm. Self-starter with a strong work ethic. High level of integrity and sincerity. Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization and function in a team environment. Demonstrated strong employee relations skills (change management, facilitation skills). Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the facility. Qualified candidates will have: BS or MS degree. Greater than 5 years’ experience in safety, health, and environmental management. Excellent problem-solving skills. Medical, Fire Prevention, Security Defense knowledge.
