Title: IT Project Manager

Location: Phoenix, AZ- 85003 Hybrid Role

Client: City of Phoenix

Note: Candidates must be local at time of submission, and available for in person interviews within 1 week of the posting close date. Candidates must also be able to start within 2 weeks of an offer being made. HYBRID position and will require on-site presence as needed. (eg local candidates)

Key Job Duties

• Define the project by performing complex analysis of problems and potential solutions
• Adherence to the Governance process by engaging stakeholders, preparing status reports and briefings
• Conduct project planning exercises to prepare the project budget, procurement, and resources
• Vendor Management tasks, including deliverable acceptance, milestone payment, contract adherence, and escalations
• Budget Management and tracking
• Create, track, and deliver project timelines, tasks, and metrics
• Project Management Professional (PMP), Agile Certified Practitioner (ACP), or other project management certifications
• Hybrid work environment where physical presence may be required within City

Minimum Qualifications:

• Seven (7) years as project lead with responsible experience in IT infrastructure projects, implementations, interface redesign, testing, and change management across multiple software subsystems.
• Recent large-scale IT/infrastructure systems experience with upgrades, conversion or software experience.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer information systems, or a related field.
• Other combinations of experience and education that meet the minimum requirements may be substituted.
• All position finalists are subject to a criminal background check applicable to the department or position.
• Ability to be on-site as required by the project needs and project team activities
• Project Management Professional (PMP), Agile Certified Practitioner (ACP), or other project management certifications

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Business/Public Administration, Information Technology, or a related field
• Experience in IT program or project management
• Experience leading IT project management teams
• Experience with vendor management
• Experience with software implementation/upgrade
• Experience working with or for public sector organizations
• Experience with project and portfolio management tools
• Excellent customer service and business relationship communication skills
