Candidates should possess NCARB certification and 8 years’ experience working on small to medium scale projects to include a variety of types (retail, commercial, industrial, residential, mixed-use, site planning, etc.).
Requirements
Translating client requirements into workable design solutions.
Illustrating quality creative concept designs for small to medium scale projects.
Carry forward concept and schematic designs through design development and construction documentation.
Vendor coordination: Reviewing/editing specifications and defining appropriate citation of materials and assemblies into drawings.
Coordinating with multiple disciplines and consultants while integrating their engineering systems into the overall project design.
Conducting thorough code and ADA accessibility reviews for projects.
Possesses working knowledge of Revit, AutoCAD, 3d modeling/rendering software, sketch up, Bluebeam, Adobe products, and Microsoft office products.
Ensuring compliance with the company’s quality assurance policies and project delivery procedures.
Coach and mentor project level architects and designers
Qualifications:
State Architecture License Required – NCARB Registration Preferred.
Entitlement experience highly preferred
Understanding modern architectural / construction means and methods; and the ability to fully detail these systems in coordination with structural, mechanical, and civil engineering
Proficient understanding of construction drawing / detailing of various commercial, industrial, retail, mixed use, residential, multi-family projects of a significant size
Ability to solve complex architectural design and construction problems to serve the client’s program and advise the senior management team of any issues that deviate from the program goals and/or that impact the project budget and timeline.
Strong client management and interpersonal skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication.
Ability to problem-solve independently and make decisions.
Knowledge of building codes, ADA accessibility guidelines, building systems, and construction technology.
Well-developed time management and organizational skills.
Work well with other team members in a highly collaborative work environment.
