Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Medical Receptionist/Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have experience providing medical administrative support and will be familiar with various medical software systems. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations.

Duties:
- Greet patients and visitors in a professional and friendly manner
- Answer phone calls and schedule appointments using Athena EMR
- Verify patient insurance information and collect co-pays/ deductibles, co-ins, old balances
- Assist with medical record management, including filing, scanning, and updating patient information
- Prepare examination rooms for patient visits, ensuring cleanliness and availability of necessary supplies
- Perform basic medical assistant duties such as taking vital signs, recording patient history, and assisting with procedures as directed by healthcare providers
- Maintain strict adherence to HIPAA regulations to protect patient privacy and confidentiality
- Provide excellent customer service to patients, addressing their inquiries and concerns in a timely manner
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure efficient operations of the front desk area

Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years experience as a Medical Receptionist and Medical Assistant in a healthcare setting
- Proficiency in medical terminology and understanding of medical office procedures
- Familiarity with electronic medical record systems such as Athena
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality.

- Willing to travel to all our locations (Ewing, West Windsor, New Brunswick, Edison)

- Willing to work on weekends as well.

- Bilingual preferred
