Many of the candidates’ resumes and interviews showed they had good experience with LC-MS for structural identification but I am looking more for candidates with LC-MS/MS for quantification

• Operate and troubleshoot HPLC/UPLC systems such as Shimadzu 20/30/40 series and waters acuity instruments coupled to Sciex triple quadrupole mass spectrometers (4000/4500/5000/5500/6500 series).
• Performed quantitative analysis for analytes of interest using LCMS-MS methodology in bioanalytical laboratory. Carry out various extractions in biological media such as protein precipitation, liquid-liquid separation, solid phase/supporting liquid, and derivatization approaches for subsequent LCMS-MS analysis.
• Understand methodology behind various bioanalytical methods such as calibration curves, internal standard approach, standard addition approach, usage of surrogate matrix for endogenous factors. Infusion and tuning experience to optimize method performance on Sciex mass spectrometers.

Description

• The Quantitative, Translational and ADME Sciences Department at Client ,in North Chicago, IL is seeking a highly motivated teammate to operate in an LCMS-based quantitative bioanalytical role and support research and development projects.
• The successful candidate will be in a fast paced, dynamic environment with minimal supervision once trained.
• The candidate will be responsible for quantitative LC-MS/MS bioanalysis of small molecules, data analysis and interpretation, and documentation tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform quantitative LC-MS/MS of small molecules from in-vitro and in-vivo bio-matrices to support ADME and PK/PD studies.
• Operate and troubleshoot LC-MS/MS instrumentation and perform routine maintenance of LC-MS/MS equipment.
• Work closely with multiple teams to support bioanalyses.
• Maintain excellent documentation of all work including electronic lab notebooks, methods, and protocols.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent education), with typically 0-5 years of experience, or a Master’s degree with no additional experience.
• Experience with quantitative bioanalysis of small molecules.
• Hands-on experience with one or more current LC-MS/MS platforms (e.g., Sciex Triple Quads, Agilent HPLCs, Shimadzu HPLCs, LEAP auto samplers, ADDA) and software (e.g., Analyst, Discovery Quant, Lead scape, Electronic Laboratory Notebook).
• Familiarity with automated sample preparation platforms.
• A good understanding of analytical methods for small molecule quantification.
• Ability to work independently or under minimal supervision to conduct experiments, as well as interpret, document, and communicate results.
• Ability to balance generating high quality data within the limitations of a high-throughput environment.
• Ability to work effectively with teammates in a dynamic environment, and the ability to self-motivate, multitask, meet frequent tight deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities

Pay: $35.00 - $37.00 per hour
