Chemist III

The Discovery Platform Technology group has a contractor opportunity to join the Advanced Chemistry Technology (ACT) team. This scientist will be involved in multiple chemistry technology development projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain a high level of productivity in the laboratory setting
• Demonstrate mastery of broad range of experimental techniques and methods of data analysis
• Learn, understand, and master new chemistry technologies
• Demonstrate the ability to resolve key chemistry technology challenges by effectively utilizing available information and technical expertise
• Effective writer and communicator of research reports and updates
• Demonstrate a high degree of responsibility in maintaining scientific standards, and safe laboratory practices
• Collaborate with functional and technical experts to facilitate scientific achievement

Knowledge, Skills, Experience:

• MS in Organic Chemistry or BS 5 years industry experience
• Demonstrated ability to resolve project hurdles by effectively utilizing available information and technical expertise
• Demonstrated strong chemistry knowledge
• Experience with lab automation or programming
• Research experience with transition metal catalyzed organic transformations
