Job description
We are seeking an organized and detail-oriented IV Intake Coordinator to join our team.
As an IV Intake Coordinator, you will be responsible for managing the intake process for new IV patients, ensuring accurate and timely documentation, and providing exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate will have experience in medical office administration and possess strong organizational and communication skills.
The right applicant MUST be VERY proficient with a computer & does not shy away from new tasks.
Preferred applicant has the following qualifications/experience:
- Ability to enter patient data into the system accurately and efficiently
- Coordinate post hospital care for patients with hospital discharge planners
- Schedule appointments for patients and coordinate with the appropriate healthcare providers
- Ability to read & interpret physician notes to gather information for prior authorizations/care
- Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries from patients, providers, and other staff members
- Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, and scanning documents
- Verify insurance coverage through multiple websites and obtain necessary prior authorizations
- Collaborate with the billing department to ensure accurate billing and reimbursement processes
- Provide excellent customer service to all patients and visitors
Skills:
- Proficient in using computer systems and software applications
- Knowledge of medical scheduling systems (e.g., eClinicalWorks) is preferred
- Strong administrative skills with attention to detail
- Familiarity with medical office procedures is a plus
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to handle confidential information in a professional manner
- Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Familiar with ICD-10 & HCPC Codes
- Knowledge of and can easily maneuver in MS Office/email/EMR
Position: Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm with a 1 hour lunch
