Indiegraf is Hiring a Manager of Technical Services Near Vancouver, WA

This role manages the onboarding of Indiegraf publishers to our products, including the website, newsletter and ads platforms. The role is responsible for identifying project requirements and overseeing project development. The role collaborates closely with the customer service, publisher guide and product teams.

We are hoping to begin interviews by April 2nd.

Key responsibilities:

  • Publisher onboarding:
    • Understand publisher’s needs and feature requirements;
    • Map the scope of migrations (content, contact and ads);
    • Develop and deliver the strategies for training, onboarding and communication;
    • Provide publishers training and create relevant documentation;
    • Provide publishers clarity on development, migration process and timelines;
    • Provide publishers workarounds if needed; 
    • Communicate and share use cases from our network of publishers; 
    • Handle technical support priorities, identify bugs and report issues to product team;
    • Support the communication between implementation and product teams;
    • Assist the implementation team with setting up accounts necessary for projects, such as payment processor, Google Tag Manager and other relevant tools and services.
  • Manage implementation team:
    • Manage a team of implementation developers and specialists;
    • Provide implementation team with clarity on the scope of work, crafting project requirement documents;
    • Develop and maintain internal workflow documentation;
    • Coordinate projects and provide the implementation team a clear building schedule, help the team to commit to timelines;
    • Recruit, train, mentor and track performance of team;
    • Develop, track and report on team OKRs;
    • Ensure the team processes, deliverables, workflows and overall resource management are iterated upon and optimized for scale;
    • Ensure quality control standards are met;
    • Foster a culture of innovation within the team, encouraging the exploration of new growth opportunities and strategies;
    • Demonstrate and reinforce company values.
  • Cross team collaboration:
    • Work closely with the customer service team to support customer service requests and bug reports;
    • Improve implementation processes in collaboration with implementation and product team members;
    • Support product team with feedback, bug reports and feature requests;
    • Identify areas for improvement.

Key skills & competencies:

  • Solutions oriented; able to research, test and implement solutions; able to troubleshoot bugs and create workarounds according to publisher needs;
  • Ability to effectively communicate to both technical and non-technical teams;
  • High attention to detail and experience leading multiple, contending priorities simultaneously;
  • Strong time management skills;
  • Ability to meet deadlines and be flexible to changing priorities;
  • Ability to efficiently manage time based on business priorities.

Education and experience

  • 3 years managing a technical team;
  • Technical background with the Wordpress framework;
  • Experience in the media industry, an asset.
