Targeted Talent is Hiring a Technical Project Manager - GIS Near Vancouver, WA

The Company
Our clients aim is to utilize and unlock the value of geospatial technology by transforming spatial data into functional information. 
Our clients has tremendous market potential to do good GIS consulting. In effect, using GIS and geospatial technology to: solve the hard problems; lend transparency to decision making; manage the risk of massive data; and help people understand the spatial environment that surrounds them.
Thus, the company has been formed to fill this gap in consulting service delivery to assist urban planners, land economists, municipal decision makers, non-profits and other organizations that seek to make sense of the tsunami of data that surrounds us and turn it into meaningful and actionable information. 
Skills:
  • Overall 5 - 10 years experience
  • Technical project management experience (2-5 years)
    • Experience preferably in software development, engineering, urban planning, GIS and/or data science
  • Demonstrated experience in consulting
    • writing proposals
    • developing business
    • comprehension of business fundamentals
  • Technical proficiency in GIS, data science or engineering preferred
  • Must have strong report writing skills and is able to act as a conduit between technical staff and clients/non-technical humans
  • Preferred experience in:
    • Urban Planning
    • Civil Engineering
    • Routing and Logistics
    • Site selection 
    • Geospatial data analysis
    • Multi Criteria Decision Support
    • Forecasting
    • Housing, health and equity
    • Climate Mitigation or Adaptation
Competencies:
  • Strong quality assurance skills
  • Strong organization skills
  • Strong analysis and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team and to provide and receive direction as required 
  • Able to plan effectively and communicate resource requirements to the broader team
  • Happy to work the consulting lifestyle

  • Expert or advanced
    • Microsoft Excel / Google Sheets
