Description

Office Claims Reps:

• Investigates, evaluates, negotiates and concludes less complex claims.
• Applies knowledge of policies, procedures, laws, statutes and insurance regulations when conducting investigations and determining coverage.
• Completes all aspects from investigation through settlement of assigned claims.
• Monitors and adjusts reserves appropriately.

Requirements for Success:

• Requires a minimum of a High School diploma or GED equivalent. College degree or vocational training preferred.
• Previous customer service or insurance experience required.
• Ability to set own priorities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and must be skilled in attentive and acting listening, practice to hear people out by accurately restating to resolve customer concerns.
• Ability to make decisions and stay within assigned authority levels.
• Must be a positive influence in establishing, developing, and maintaining professional working relationships with internal and external customers to ensure prompt, efficient service and provide a positive customer experience.
• Knowledge of or willingness to acquire knowledge of policies, procedures, laws, statutes and insurance
