Position Summary

The Accounting II position requires analytical and problem-solving skills. He/She is expected to work efficiently in an environment that is fast paced and should be able to easily adapt to changes in workload.

Essential Functions 

• Preparing Weekly Cash Balance Reports
• Preparing Bank Deposits
• Entering transactions in Great Plains
• Assisting with the monthly financial statement closing
• Analyze and reconcile bank statements and general ledger.
• Post Journal entries as needed.
• Reconcile and Maintain balance sheet accounts.
• Assist with year-end closing.
• Prepares fixed assets depreciation and accrual. Maintain a fixed assets schedule.
• Assist with accounts receivable monthly billing and applying payments.
• Maintain financial records safeguarded and organized.
• Assist with other special projects.
• Participating in any variety of meetings and work groups to integrate activities, communicate issues, obtain approvals, resolve problems, and maintain a specified level of knowledge pertaining to new developments, requirements, policies, and regulatory guidelines.
• Providing administrative support including the preparation of spreadsheets to the finance department

Education and Experience

• Understanding of medical terminology
• Have an intermediate understanding of computers and systems.
• Have 1-2 years of accounting experience.
• High volume, fast-paced environment
