Position: Executive Director
Reports to: Regional Executive Director/Vice President/President
Summary:
The Executive Director oversees all aspects of Center Operations, including management and oversite of Guest and Staff scheduling, performing an assessment and completing the documentation, Guest/at-home caregiver communication, performing tours and other marketing duties, learning the food program to perform oversight and management of all kitchen operations, running the transportation program, overseeing the lifestyle enrichment program, ensuring all documentation is present and accurate for billing purposes, regulatory compliance, and staff development. The ED position is a demanding leadership role. A successful candidate will be willing and able to perform the duties of any position in the Center (excluding those requiring medical licensure) and work tirelessly to support the Center staff in delivering the best possible care to our Guests.

The employee must occasionally lift and/or move objects/people with or without assistance. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. The employee must be able to use general office equipment such as computers, photocopiers, telephones, etc. Housekeeping duties such as cleaning, cooking, snow shoveling, etc. The employee may be required to drive IADCC vehicles, operate wheelchair lifts and employ safety restraints. The employee may be exposed to outside weather conditions.

The employee must possess the ability to process vague, abstract verbal and written instructions; work under stress, interruptions and tight deadlines; to problem solve, answer questions and evaluate results of performance; to visualize and assess abstract ideas; communicate effectively with people of diverse backgrounds and intellectual abilities as well as to calmly and repetitively model appropriate behavior in difficult or challenging situations.
