Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Dental Assistant to join our team. As a Dental Assistant, you will work closely with the dentist and dental team to provide quality oral healthcare to our patients. Our office hours are Monday -Thursday 8 am to 5 00 pm.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the dentist during dental procedures, including preparing the treatment area, sterilizing instruments, and handing instruments to the dentist as needed.
- Take dental X-rays to assist in treatment planning and diagnosis.
- Prepare materials for impressions and restorations.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-operative care instructions.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records
- Schedule patient appointments
- Adhere to infection control protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Experience:
- Previous experience as a Dental Assistant or completion of a Dental Assistant program is preferred.
- Knowledge of dental anatomy, terminology, and procedures.
- Proficiency in taking dental X-rays and operating related equipment.
- Familiarity with SoftDent is a plus.
