ADVANCED FAMILY DENTISTRY is Hiring a Dental Assistant Near Tucson, AZ

Advanced Family Dentistry is seeking a skilled and compassionate Dental Assistant to join our team. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional dental care and ensuring a positive experience for our patients. If you are a dedicated professional with a passion for oral health and patient care, we invite you to apply for this exciting opportunity.

Responsibilities:

- Assist the dentist during a variety of dental procedures, including examinations, cleanings, fillings, extractions, and oral surgeries.

- Prepare treatment rooms and ensure all instruments and materials are sterilized and properly organized.

- Take dental x-rays as instructed by the dentist.

- Provide chairside assistance to the dentist by handing them instruments, maintaining suction, and keeping the patient comfortable.

- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and post-operative care instructions.

- Record patient information, treatment plans, and clinical notes accurately in electronic dental records.

- Schedule appointments and maintain an organized and efficient patient flow.

- Perform basic laboratory duties, such as pouring and trimming dental models and fabricating temporary crowns.

- Assist in the maintenance of dental equipment and inventory management.

- Adhere to infection control protocols and maintain a clean and safe working environment.

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a dental assisting program preferred.

- X-ray certification in accordance with state regulations (if applicable).

- Prior experience as a dental assistant is desirable but not required.

- Knowledge of dental procedures, instruments, and materials.

- Familiarity with dental software systems and electronic dental records.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.

- Attention to detail and commitment to patient safety and comfort.
