Job Description:

Perform maintenance service and repairs in the areas of plumbing, carpentry, painting, plastering, or electrical. Actively supports all safety aspects of job duties and standard operating procedures. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Works under general supervision. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

• Complete daily work orders as assigned by manager or coordinator. Work orders will include repair and maintenance assignments including, but not limited to, the items listed above.
• performs regularly scheduled maintenance (preventive maintenance) on all production and tooling machines, including support equipment, conforming to internal requirements and manufacturer’s specifications to minimize production downtime.
• Conducts technical inspections of machines.
• Maintain a clean safe work environment.
• Ensure all maintenance and repair activities are recorded, organized, and complete. Records must be readily available for reference or audit purposes.
• Organize and clean the building services area.
• Perform safety audits
• Identify and address safety concerns in the facility and manufacturing areas
• Observe Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and safety policies and take all precautions for own safety and that of others. PPE is available and required to be used according to the task.
• Assist as needed with regular non-critical maintenance to machines (i.e. coolant sump sucking, chip spinning & oil reclaim, etc.).
• Handling and storage of hazardous waste.
• As needed communicate with vendors when they are onsite performing work.

Job Requirements:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High School Diploma or GED required. Requires a minimum of 4 years’ experience in the field or in a related area; manufacturing environment preferred. Experienced or certified in the areas of electrical, plumbing, painting, plastering, carpentry, and general building maintenance.

LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and interpret documents in English, such as operating procedures and general instructions, machine manuals, employee handbook, company policies and departmental procedures, etc. Ability to communicate effectively in English.

OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES:

• Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license with a good record.
• Forklift certification a plus.
• EHS knowledge or background a plus.
• Maintain open communications with other departments.
• Develop and maintain effective internal relationships.
• May be required to use company vehicle to pick up supplies or make deliveries.
• Must support a strong team environment.
• Familiar with Microsoft: Word, and Excel a plus.

Target Market Salary Range:

Actual compensation packages take into account a wide range of factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to geographic location; skill sets; relevant education and certifications; depth of experience; performance; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed reasonable estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Envista, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The total compensation package for this position may also include an annual performance bonus, medical/dental/vision benefits, 401K match, and/or other applicable compensation plans.

$27.00 – $34.70 per hour
