Position Description: This position is responsible for maintaining and enhancing the human resources team by planning, implementing, and evaluating employee relations and human resources policies, programs, and practices. The Human Resources Manager will set career objectives for each member of the human resources team. This professional is motivated, results driven, with a positive attitude/aptitude and an outstanding attention to detail.
Responsibilities:
Maintain the organization’s staff by establishing a recruiting, testing, and interviewing program, conducting and analyzing exit interviews, and recommending changes.
Prepare employees for assignments by establishing and conducting orientation and training programs.
Assess the strengths and weaknesses of employees based on feedback from managers/supervisors and provide coaching, counsel, and training to improve individual skills.
Maintain human resource staffing performance by counseling and disciplining employees, planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.
Complete human resource operational requirements by scheduling, interviewing, and assigning new employees.
Maintain employee benefits programs and informs employees of benefits.
Analyze benefit needs/trends and is part of the management team that evaluates benefit contract bids.
Ensure legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable human resource federal and state requirements, conducting investigations, maintaining records and representing the company at hearings.
Maintain management guidelines by preparing, updating, and recommending human resource policies and procedures.
Manage the environment health and safety team who monitors the safety program and recommends changes where appropriate.
Maintain historical human resource records by designing a filing and retrieval system, retaining past and current records.
Maintain workforce management software as the administrator and provides training and support.
Perform all other duties assigned.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource, Business Administration or equivalent experience.
Two plus (2 ) years management experience.
Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Office suite.
Experience with Kronos or similar workforce management software preferred.
Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Exhibits a strong work ethic and sense of discretion.
Refined ability to delegate responsibilities and provide leadership and training to key personnel.
Flexible and capable of successfully performing in a fast-paced environment.
