Overview

Imperial Dade, leading national distributor, is hiring an Operations Manager in Jacksonville, FL! The Operations Manager will be responsible for ensuring the warehouse and drivers are compliant with the company's policies and vision. The incumbent will oversee all aspects of warehouse and transportation operations including receiving, picking, delivery, and inventory management as well as providing leadership, training, and coaching to a team of 3 managers and roughly 55 total teammates. The ideal candidate will have a strong process and systems orientation and a proven track record of driving continuous improvement initiatives along with ability to build a foundationally sound team.

Responsibilities

You will:

• Oversee the supervision of the day and night warehouse manager while organizing and directing warehouse activities.
• Oversee the supervision of the transportation manager to ensure all processes and procedures are adhered to.
• Assist in coaching, performance, and development of managers and supervisors ensuring high operational standards.
• Ensure all SOP’s are adhered to
• Track and measure all KPI’s
• Lead various projects to improve efficiency, customer experience, and space utilization and drive continuous improvement across all teams.
• Ensure all inventory control processes, equipment maintenance, safety, and housekeeping standards are upheld. 
• Assist with reducing employee turnover and reducing overtime working hours.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

You have:

• Minimum of 10 years of leadership experience in large, fast-paced, dynamic warehouse environment
• Proven track record of delivering results and a continuous improvement methodology and mentality.
• Experience leading projects resulting in sizeable cost savings and/or improved service levels.
• Ability to develop next level of leadership and get the best from teammates
• Ability to make decisions, problem solve, prioritize assignments, and direct the workforce in an ever-changing, very fast-paced warehouse environment
• Strong business orientation and foundation including the ability to see opportunities and develop/implement appropriate solutions
• Ability to address employee disciplinary issues and maintain high standards of operation.

Preferred Qualifications

• Ability to operate all equipment and machinery in the distribution center, including forklift, cherry-picker, reach truck and scan guns.
• Lean, Six Sigma, Kaisan experience
• P&L experience
