DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES
ØDevelops, updates and tracks action plans pertaining to program tasks and overall electrical distribution system maintenance.
ØProvides on-going reporting of program activity status to plant management.
ØArranges for contract services support for program related activities as required.
ØReviews facility electrical maintenance activities to ensure that manufacturing, construction, installation, and operational testing conform to all specifications, codes, and standards.
ØPerforms formal and informal audits of the program elements to ensure compliance to all applicable codes and standards.
ØMaintains current knowledge of company/government rules and regulations.
ØEvaluates capital project scopes and vendor proposals for new equipment purchases.
ØAssists with troubleshooting of plant electrical maintenance issues to ensure continued plant operability.
ØConducts failure mode analyses to identify units posing excessive failure risks and supports proposed changes in design.
ØAssists in the training/coaching of hourly personnel in repairs and preventative maintenance.
ØEnsures Process Safety and Risk management objectives are practiced daily through participation in Management of Change, Process Hazards Analysis, Process Safety Hazard Hunter, and pre-startup safety review responsibilities.
ØClient will consider electrical power engineering applicants from an engineering company doing appropriate plant power distribution engineering.
ØClient is wanting to consider local Houston, TX area applicants only.
QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS
vBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
vA minimum of 3 years electrical engineering experience required.
vPlant maintenance experience preferred.
vHigh proficiency in Microsoft applications (such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
vExcellent written and verbal communication skills.
vExcellent interpersonal skills including the ability to work as part of a team.
vAbility to work weekends, holidays and respond to callouts on a non-routine basis
vKnowledge of NEC and other applicable codes relating to electrical engineering and high voltage systems desired.
vExperience in design/maintenance of plant electrical systems desired.
