Job Overview:
Immaculate Conception-St. Joseph School, located in Chicago's Old Town neighborhood, is seeking a dynamic, collaborative, professional, and enthusiastic educator to teach Preschool for the 2024-2025 school year.

As a Preschool Teacher, you will play a vital role in the early education and development of young children. You will be responsible for creating a nurturing and stimulating environment where children can learn and grow.

Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and curriculum
- Provide a safe and supportive learning environment for children
- Foster social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development through engaging activities
- Conduct assessments to monitor each child's progress
- Collaborate with parents and guardians to ensure open communication and involvement in their child's education
- Maintain accurate records of each child's attendance, behavior, and academic performance
- Promote positive behavior management techniques and reinforce good manners and social skills
- Create a positive classroom culture that encourages curiosity, creativity, and a love for learning
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff members to plan events and activities

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field (or equivalent experience) *preferred
- Previous experience working with preschool-aged children
- Knowledge of child development principles and best practices in early childhood education
- Strong classroom management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to create engaging lesson plans that promote literacy education, creativity, and critical thinking
- Familiarity with curriculum development and implementation
- Passion for working with young children and helping them reach their full potential
