About the role:

Leads employee Safety and Quality initiatives that contribute to the overall safety strategy for IMI. Develops and enhances key employee Safety efforts. Woks with Operations to identify and help implement building/equipment enhancements and technologies to improve safety outcomes. Responsible for establishing policies that will create and maintain a safe workplace.

In this role, you will:

• Develop and execute health and safety plans in the workplace according to legal guidelines
• Prepare and enforce policies to establish a culture of health and safety
• Evaluate practices, procedures, and facilities to assess risk and adherence to the law.
• Conduct training and presentations for health and safety matters and accident prevention
• Monitor compliance to policies and laws by inspecting employees and operations.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory bodies and standards.

We're Excited About You Because:

• Bachelor's Degree required preferably in environmental health and safety.
• Minimum 6 years' experience in safety and/or quality Assurance
• Previous supervisory skills preferred
• Knowledge of OSHA and EPA standards
• Completed OSHA 30 Hour General Industry training or complete within 60 days of hire.
• Detail oriented with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to communicate guidelines to a multidisciplinary workforce

• Ability to bend, reach, kneel, twist and grip items while working at assigned desk area.

Work Environment:

• Professional and deadline-oriented environment in an office setting.
• Interaction with team members and clients in both remote and on-site locations.
• Occasional in and out-of-state travel with some overnight stays as needed.
• Periodic weekend or evening work is expected.
