About the Role:

The Director of Manufacturing is responsible for leading and managing all aspects of the manufacturing operations to ensure efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness. They play a pivotal role in developing and implementing strategies to enhance production processes, meet production targets, and drive continuous improvement.

In this role, you will:

  • Collaborate with leadership to align manufacturing strategies with overall company goals.
  • Develop and execute long-term manufacturing plans, considering market trends, technological advancements, and organizational objectives.
  • Oversee day-to-day manufacturing operations, ensuring adherence to quality standards, production schedules, and cost efficiency.
  • Implement best practices and continuous improvement initiatives to optimize processes and enhance operational efficiency.
  • Build and lead a high-performing manufacturing team, providing clear direction, coaching, and development opportunities.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and innovation within the manufacturing department.
  • Establish and maintain robust quality control measures to ensure products meet or exceed customer expectations and regulatory requirements.
  • Implement quality improvement programs and corrective actions as necessary.
  • Collaborate with supply chain and procurement teams to ensure a seamless flow of materials and components for production.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers.
  • Develop and manage budgets for manufacturing operations, identifying cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.
  • Implement cost control measures and monitor key performance indicators related to production costs.
  • Identify and implement technology solutions to improve manufacturing processes, such as automation, data analytics, and manufacturing specific technologies.
  • Stay informed about relevant industry regulations and standards.
  • Ensure manufacturing processes comply with all applicable regulations and certifications.
  • Identify and mitigate potential risks to manufacturing operations.
  • Develop and implement contingency plans to address unforeseen disruptions.

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or a related field.
  • 10 years of progressively responsible experience in manufacturing leadership roles.
  • Proven experience in a leadership role within manufacturing, with a track record of success in optimizing operations.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, quality control, and supply chain management.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to think strategically and make data-driven decisions.
  • Familiarity with relevant technologies and trends in manufacturing.
