The Quality Assurance Support Worker assists in the continued goals of the organization to build a child welfare system that is safe, secure, and stable; family centered, connected to the community; and which relies on evidence-based practice necessary to support contract services in Kansas. The Quality Assurance Support Worker monitors, corrects, and updates the data input of Permanency Services to ensure continuous data improvement and compliance with state and federal regulatory agencies. The QAW may also provide support and assistance to Case Managers, Therapeutic Case Managers, and Supervisors with services to children and families to ensure smooth workflow and meet contract outcomes. The QA Worker follows deadlines according to Permanency Manual.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Driving is required as QAW’s provide transportation and visitation support as needed for our clients; use of fleet vehicles is available
  • Receive and verify placement information for accuracy and update database within designated timeframe
  • Request, input, and track client records (educational, medical, mental health, and birth records) as required
  • Track and notify staff of due dates for court reports, case planning conferences, updated FERPAs, etc. as required
  • Participate as 3rd Party at Case Planning Conferences as needed
  • Review daily, weekly, and monthly reports for accuracy and follow-up on missing or incorrect data as necessary
  • Monitor, update, and correct the Client Management System and ensure all case information remains current and accurate
  • Assist in preparation of file and reconciliation meeting for the Department for Children and Families (DCF) audits as required
  • Track, mail, and enter life skills information as required
  • Perform a variety of duties to ensure smooth work flow and to meet contract outcomes
  • File client records in green books or appropriate Laserfiche program
  • Close out files upon discharge by DCF guidelines
  • Attend all required meetings and trainings
  • Case plan review, correction, and processing including forwarding to DCF and court as required
  • Complete and submit case activity logs when required

Other duties may be assigned according to qualification of staff and development of programs.

Minimum Requirements:

Education:
High school diploma or GED

Licensure/Certification: Valid Driver’s License, current auto insurance

Experience:
Previous experience in children and family services preferred. Requires Intermediate to Advanced computer skills in typing/keyboarding, Microsoft Word and Excel programs as well as Outlook email.
