Position Summary: Manages accounting functions within accounts payable, including maintenance of general ledger.
Position Responsibilities

• Develops implements and maintains systems, procedures and policies, including accounts payable functions to ensure adherence to company guidelines.
• Provides accounting assistance to Directors, Managers and staff
• Responds to financial questions/concerns to meet business needs.
• Processes vendor invoices and employee expense reports
• Reconciles and codes MasterCard purchasing card charges online
• Handles vendor questions and vendor account reconciliations
• Researches accounts payable issues with various department personnel
• Month end activities including AP, corporate card and purchasing card accruals
• Local card manager for PNC prepaid debit card program
• Assist sport departments and business managers with accounts payable needs for tournaments
• Adheres to all company policies, procedures and business ethic codes
• Other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent work experience
• Experience in an AP function
• Experience working with generally accepted accounting principles and accounting software
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Good presentation skills for educating internal clients on accounting principles
• Good planning and organizational skills to balance and prioritize work
• Highly organized with the ability to juggle multiple projects
• Ability to multi task in a fast-paced organization
• A superior work ethic
• Desire to work collaboratively with colleagues
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
