The Role

We are looking for a Financial Analyst to join our team. Reporting to the Director of Finance, you will be responsible for the day-to-day finance and accounting and functions and will work closely with other departments to support various requests. The position is ideal for an individual that has the interest and aptitude to be in involved all aspects of finance operations, including revenue recognition, accounts payables and expenses, cash management, financial reporting, and analysis. The position requires a high level of professionalism, confidentiality, strong work ethic, and high attention to detail with a focus on maintaining accurate financial records.
This is a full-time position based in Atlanta (Sandy Springs/Dunwoody area), with a hybrid schedule of two days in office and three days remote.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the preparation and maintenance of financial records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting principles and regulations.
• Perform accounts payable functions, including invoice reviews, payment processing, and reconciliation of vendor accounts, and employee expense reporting.
• Manage accounts receivable duties including invoicing, collection efforts, AR reporting, and project-based timesheet compliance and reconciliations.
• Independently administer and manage full-cycle payroll for salary and hourly employees on a bi-weekly basis through Quickbooks
• Assist with month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation.
• Conduct variance analysis and provide explanations for fluctuations in financial statements.
• Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.
• Support internal and external audits by providing documentation and explanations as needed.
• Collaborate with other departments to provide financial information and support as needed.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 2 years of experience in accounting or finance roles.
• Strong skills in Microsoft Excel.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g. Zohobooks, QuickBooks).
• Knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications: 

• CPA certification or progress towards CPA.
• Experience using Zohobooks.
• Experience in professional services and or technology field.
