Job Title: Summer Camp Counselor (Temporary)
Department: School Age Services Department (Cost Center 221)
Reports to: Quincy Malecki (SAS Program Supervisor)
Status: Part-time (20-30 hours) or Full- time (30-40 hours) available: Non-exempt
Salary Range: $18/hour
Location: Lafayette
Schedule: M-F 8 am – 6 pm (Only work four days a week out of the five)
Purpose of Position
This is a temporary summer position from the end of May through mid-August.
Promotes the health, safety, and welfare of camp participants ages 7 -21 experiencing intellectual or developmental disabilities. Engages in skilled interaction with camp participants who require therapeutic supports, enabling them to access and utilize their community and build on their strengths. Acts in accordance with Imagine! Policies, School Age Services’ mission and guidelines, and Individual Plans. Monitors and reports on data to ensure compliance with all applicable regulating agencies. Maintains professional relationships with participants, staff, guardians and family members, and all other members of treatment teams.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities
1. Promotes the health, safety, and welfare of the participants.
2. Acts in accordance with School Age Services policies, mission, and the Individual Plans.
3. Monitors and reports on data to ensure compliance with all applicable guidelines and regulations, including Imagine! Policies and Procedures.
