Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Interventionist to join our team. As an Interventionist, you will work closely with ELL students to provide targeted support and interventions to help them succeed academically in their English. Your role will involve implementing strategies and techniques to address individual student needs and promote positive learning outcomes.
Duties:
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to identify students in need of intervention
- Develop and implement intervention plans based on student assessments and data
- Provide individual or small group instruction to students in various subjects, including math, literacy, and physical education
- Utilize learning technology and educational resources to enhance student engagement and learning
- Monitor student progress and adjust interventions as needed
- Support students in developing effective study habits and organizational skills
- Implement behavior management strategies to promote a positive classroom environment
- Assist in the development of curriculum materials and resources
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and intervention activities
Skills:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in using learning management systems (LMS) or other educational technology platforms
- Knowledge of curriculum development principles and practices
- Ability to effectively manage conflicts and resolve issues
- Experience in behavior management techniques
- Strong understanding of math and literacy education strategies
- Ability to adapt interventions based on individual student needs
