Position Overview:
We are seeking a talented Data Analyst to join our growing team. The ideal candidate is a true self-starter with a keen eye for detail, as well as the ability to work in an ever-evolving environment. As a Data Analyst, you will be responsible for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data from various sources across both retail and wholesale channels to provide actionable insights that drive business growth and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collect and organize data from internal and external sources, including point-of-sale (POS) systems, enterprise resource planning (ERP) software, and other relevant platforms.
- Identify and implement a Business Intelligence platform such as Google’s Looker to consolidate all available data sources
- Clean, validate, and manipulate large datasets to ensure accuracy and consistency.
- Ensure that data integrity is maintained across all business systems: point-of-sale system, enterprise resource planning system, customer relationship management system, online marketplace platform, etc.
- Perform advanced statistical analysis and data modeling to identify trends, patterns, and correlations.
- Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and visualizations to communicate key findings and metrics to stakeholders.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define KPIs, establish data collection processes, and implement data-driven solutions.
- Conduct ad-hoc analysis and generate actionable insights to support strategic decision-making and operational improvements.
- Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to continuously enhance data analysis capabilities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a data analysis role, preferred candidates will have experience within the cannabis industry or a highly regulated environment.
- Advanced level of proficiency with Google Sheets for data manipulation and analysis.
- Experience working with POS systems, ERP software, and other relevant data management tools.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to extract insights from complex datasets.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python for data manipulation and analysis (experience with R is a plus).
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Knowledge of data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI is desirable.
