Job Description

Quality Manager needed at an automotive manufacturing facility near Memphis, TN. You will lead the quality group, ensuring that the quality of products meets customer requirements, and industry, ISO and company standards. You will lead IATF 16949 implementation.

Relocation assistance is available.

  • With a safety-first approach, ensure quality system meets customer requirements.
  • Monitor customer complaints, including timing for short term response to quality issues and planning for long-term quality excellence.
  • Guide quality engineering in audit activity and documentation.
  • Review quality progress reports, field quality problem reports and other documents. Follow up on process control audit activities.

Qualifications

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field.
  • Five or more years’ experience in quality engineering, including quality management.
  • Experience gained in automotive manufacturing is preferred, but will consider people who work in other demanding, high-volume manufacturing environments.
  • Knowledgeable of component suppliers, Internal, and External Quality Systems.
  • Proficient in the use of quality gauging equipment.
  • Ability to effectively manage all aspects of a quality system.
  • Experience in IATF 16949 activity (or equivalent).
