Overview
The Surgical Services Director is responsible for overseeing the operation of the department, establishing policies and procedures, and managing the staff and workflow. This role also involves budget management and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. The Director plays a crucial leadership role in supporting the hospital's mission, vision, and goals while prioritizing patient care and customer satisfaction. Additionally, they are accountable for continuous improvement, integration of services, and strategic planning for the department.

Key Responsibilities

• Establish and enforce department policies, procedures, standards, and objectives
• Supervise and direct the surgical services staff
• Ensure effective and efficient department operation within budgetary guidelines
• Maintain high standards of patient care and customer service
• Approve employee timekeeping, performance evaluations, and supply orders
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards
• Participate in department strategic planning

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, Business Administration, Management, or related field
• Minimum five years of nursing management experience in a hospital setting
• Three years of supervisory experience
• Current Arizona Registered Nurse License

Preferred Qualifications

• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN)
• Wound Care Certification (WOCN)
