The Illinois Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Office Assistant, Option 2 to perform duties for the technical/professional staff in the Administrative Support Section, Bureau of Water (BOW). The ideal candidate for this position will be organized, detailed, and possess the ability to adapt to change in a collaborative, fast paced environment. The ideal candidate will also need to be able to communicate effectively verbally, electronically and in writing with both internal and external stakeholders.

30% 1. Performs a variety of difficult and responsible clerical functions utilizing a personal computer, electronic typewriter, and related office machinery/equipment for the technical/professional staff in the Administrative Support Section, Bureau of Water (BOW);
25% 2. Performs clerical duties utilizing a personal computer and/or electronic typewriter;
20% 3. Handles mail correspondence for the Bureau of Water;
10% 4. Monitors various office supplies for the Bureau of Water:
10% 5. Operates a variety of office machinery/equipment utilized to send or receive electronic mail, to duplicate or print typed or written materials;
05% 6. Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.
Requires the ability to pass a name-based background check.
